Doctor Who is the world's longest-running science fiction television programme and one of Britain's greatest cultural exports. Since 1963, The Doctor — a mysterious alien Time Lord who can regenerate into a new body — has traveled through space and time in the TARDIS (a blue police box), accompanied by human companions, fighting evil and righting wrongs across the universe.

The classic series ran from 1963 to 1989 across 26 seasons and 7 Doctors. The modern revival, which began in 2005 under showrunner Russell T Davies, brought the series to global audiences. Now returning to Disney+ co-production with Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor, the show continues to evolve.
